Meet Susan Ulsh, M.A.
Residential Organizing Specialist
A Natural Fit: From Educator to Professional Organizer
As a Special Educator, Human Resource Development Specialist, Child Find Specialist and Parent Resources Specialist with Sarasota County School Board for over 30 years, Susan’s training incorporated understanding different learning styles, making instructional modifications, and implementing strategies to assist individuals in learning and completing difficult tasks. Her expertise includes diagnostic skills, communication experience with families needing help to understand their children's strengths, and the ability to identify and leverage a vast array of resources without becoming overwhelmed in the process.
Award Winning Master Teacher, Caring Cuddler
Susan earned an Undergraduate degree in Mental Handicaps from Florida State University and a Graduate degree in Learning Disabilities from University of South Florida. As a Special Education Teacher in Sarasota County she was a Master Teacher Recipient multiple times throughout the years.
Following her retirement from the School Board in December, 2007, she began volunteering at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a Cuddler in the NICU and screening newborns' hearing with the First Sound Program.
Weaving Together Family, Travel and Lifelong Learning
Susan's passions include continuing her learning experiences through reading, travel, cooking, and textile arts, including weaving. She is also quite "passionate" about her family and two adult children who share her love of travel, learning, reading and living life to its fullest.
When Susan isn’t helping her Impact Organizing clients simplify their homes and streamline their offices, she works with families and handicapped children through The School Board of Manatee County.
